TIEFBASSKOMMANDO (TBK) is a Berlin rap collective that combines brutal 808s, raw underground aesthetics, and dark humor to create its own unique universe. Masked performances, cryptic lyrics, and an uncompromising DIY attitude are just as much a part of their trademark as a sound that crosses West Berlin rap with breakbeats, techno, hyperpop, and punk attitude. Between maximally blunt punchlines, obscenity, and drug intoxication, social criticism, shifts in perspective, and subcultural references flash repeatedly—TBK consciously moves between escalation and concept, riot and art.

Founded in the Berlin underground, the crew released several mixtapes and albums starting in 2020, including Breakdance auf Scherben and RETOX, and rapidly developed from a scene phenomenon into a nationally relevant rap crew. Sold-out tours, legendary shows, and tracks streamed millions of times followed. With Vol. 5, TBK reached number 6 on the German album charts and number 1 on the hip-hop charts. TBK is not a project, but a state of being: loud, disturbing, ironic – and consistently outside any comfort zone.
