Because without CRO, German-language rap would not be what it is today. Neither would German pop, for that matter. Rap with choruses, melodies for millions, for the radio, the stadium and eternity – all of this only found its way into German hip hop thanks to the self-proclaimed King of Raop. “Easy” and the debut album “Raop” not only made CRO a star overnight, but also gave German rap an unprecedented lightness through his interplay of rap and pop, with which he renewed the genre from the ground up – an impact that still lasts a decade later.
